Terry worked with my husband and I on our townhouse on the UES. He was recommended to me by a friend I know through my daughter’s school. I have to say that I will NEVER work on another renovation and design without Terry – or a designer he recommends – at my side.
He is prepared, has excellent relationships with his contractors – everyone that came into our home was personable and respectful of us and our space, and the work was great. You could tell that this group of people enjoyed working together. We ran into some issues when we were moving the walls of the kitchen and Terry managed the unexpected with grace and excellent communication between us and our contractors. We spent a little more than expected because of these issues, but I truly believe that had Terry not been there, we’d have spun our wheels for months.
I’m pretty sure I heard him say that he’s a painter as well as a designer, and I have to say that when I walked into my finished home for the first time – we went away for a month at the end of the renovation – I truly felt as though an artist had gone through our home with deliberation and care, and had addressed every detail.
This brings me to my absolute favorite thing about Terry – he is an incredible listener. The home felt like ours. We all got the sense – my kids included, who are not fans of change – that this was our home, and not a carbon copy of trend or fashion.
We loved every minute of working with Terry – even the challenging decision making moments. Thanks for your attention to detail and amazing talents Terry! We look forward to the next project together.
